1. Light the end of a sage bundle with a match or with the help of a candle. Blow out quickly if it catches on fire.
2. The tips of the leaves should smoulder slowly, releasing thick smoke. Direct this smoke around your room, house, your body or the object you are cleaning and keep moving the bundle constantly, in circular movements, so it won't stop burning.
3. When smudging a house, it is important to reach the corners of the walls and also, to leave the windows just a little bit open, so the smoke can get out of the house, dragging all the negative energy out.
4. Let it sit and the sage bundle will stop burning quickly. You can rest it in a ceramic bowl or shell.
