Palo Santo is native tree from South American countries that grows in dry tropical forests and produces very fragrant resin. The words Palo Santo means “holy wood” and it gets its name because it has been used by indigenous peoples for centuries for healing and cleansing rituals. It’s mainly used to treat pain and stress. It’s also said to clear negative energy and to bring an uplifting energy to the ambient.

How to use:

1. Light the Palo Santo with a match or with the help of a candle. 
   
2. The Palo Santo stick will release some thick smoke, that you should carry around your room, house, or around your body or the object you are cleaning.
3. Keep moving the stick constantly, in circular movements, so it won't stop burning.
4. When smudging a house, it is important to reach the corners of the walls and also, to leave the windows just a little bit open, so the smoke can get out of the house, dragging all the negative energy out.
5. Let it sit and the Palo Santo stick will stop burning quickly. You can rest it in a ceramic bowl or shell.
